Ability To Refocus

The Ability To Refocus ourselves while on a path, when we need to, is one of the most important skills in our repetoire — and one of the hardest to master.

It is a matter of catching ourselves when we begin to wander (when our focus begins to disperse, our minds begin to wander, and our actions become less efficient and effective) and reigning ourselves back in.

Sometimes we require rest, other times we only need to reel ourselves back from the minutia to the big picture. Whatever the case may be, this assessment is the Ability To Refocus, and so maintain momentum, efficiency, and effectiveness better in our actions through self-moderation.

Refocus When You Need To

It is an important skill to be able to refocus yourself on task periodically, but even more difficult to recognize the need to refocus before it becomes a true necessity. (At the time of writing this, while I have made great strides over the years, I am still learning.)

Notes
  • It just took me 2 days for my schedule to crumble on the transition, after finishing Episode 002. Running into all those technical problems. Spending a long day on The Truth (and Misconception) of Spiritual Practice.
