Ancestral East Asians
The Ancestral East Asians are the ancestors of all modern East Asian populations, and other distinct peoples like the Siberians, Native Americans, Polynesians, and East/Southeast Asians. [1]
The Ancestral East Asians split from other human groups probably around 70–50 ka. [1] They essentially continued their migrations to the east, while others remained in the Near East, and branched off towards Europe and other regions.
Believed to have expanded in multiple waves, radiating from Southern China northwards (towards Siberia and Beringia, eventually to North America) and South (into the Pacific).
Their descendants include the modern East/Southeast Asians, Polynesians, Siberians, and Native Americans. [1]
