Brahma

Brahma is the Hindu god associated with creation, knowledge, and the Vedas. He is featured prominently in creation myths, and in a number of places is associated with Prajapati.

Ancient Vedic Religion often knows Prajapati as the Hiranyagarbha, however in some of the Puranas it is Brahma who is the self-created god that becomes the golden embryo. Whatever the case is, with all of these associations and evolving traditions over time, Brahma’s identification with Prajapati only highlights the central role that Brahma occupies in Vedic and Hindu cosmology.
