The Impact of Modern UFO Disclosure on the Ancient Aliens Hypothesis

In light of the global, high-level “disclosure” of information regarding the UFO/UAP phenomenon, we are confronted with possible confirmation of the existence of Extraterrestrial Life. Even more surprising is that whistleblower testimony from sources within the highest level of government, military, and industry tells stories of direct contact more extensive than almost anything anybody imagined.

Considering the source of this information, it becomes increasingly difficult even for hard-line skeptics to entirely dismiss this phenomenon. When it was random people coming forward, sure, inherently untrustworthy. But professors, ministers of defence, presidents, generals, astronauts, sergeants? The Pentagon?

This sheds new light on the long-held belief that humanity in ancient times interacted with an advanced civilization of some kind, that many believe was extraterrestrial in origin. Giving another, unexpected layer of credibility to these beliefs. This is the Impact of Modern UFO Disclosure on the Ancient Alien Hypothesis.

Introduction

The origin of humanity is shrouded in mystery. The further that we go back in time towards the emergence of homo sapiens in Africa around 300,000 years ago, the evidence left to us becomes increasingly rare. Due to the ravages of time, the depths of human prehistory, the beginning of our race, is veiled in uncertainty.

The time that has passed since our evolution into existence is a literal barrier that obstructs our understanding and, as a result, there are definite mysteries regarding the origins of our species. When exactly did the first of our species evolve into being? Was there one single human born that was the first of our species? Were their parents slightly different? Did our species develop in a distinct tribe of archaic humans and flourish in isolation? Which of our sibling and/or ancestor species did we evolve from? Homo erectus? Homo heidelbergensis? Or an unknown ancestor?

We know a great deal more than we did a century ago (which isn’t all that impressive because we were incredibly ignorant in the 19th century by comparison) yet many mysteries remain.

Some of the mysteries are more abstract, compared to the above questions which have more definite answers, which makes them all that more interesting. For example, what makes us so different from the other species on Earth? The level of development of humanity even five-thousand years ago (during the Early Dynastic Period of Sumer, Old Kingdom Egypt, the Early Minoan palatial period on Crete or the Indus-Valley Civilization in India) was incredible — incredible specificallyrelative to the rest of the animal kingdom, including those closest to us on the evolutionary tree.

I cannot stress enough how incredible the luxury experienced by the royalty of the ancient civilizations I mentioned above truly was, at the literal dawn of history. Even by modern standards. And how challenging it is to reconcile that with the fact that only a few thousand years before that we were hunter-gatherers — essentially living like monkeys with tools, clothes, speech and fire. But today? We are driving cars, flying spaceships, implanting chips in our brain, and have created a network of information that is pulsing within light in the space all around us…

We are so far beyond the species of the Earth today.

Are we the aliens?

Our level of development as a species (and the rate over the last 100 years especially) does seem unnatural. I am not saying that it is unnatural, because we are experiencing a phase of exponential growth, development and evolution that is literally founded on the last 5000 years of development. Nonetheless, relative to how we lived from 300 thousand years ago until about 10,000 BCE, we are an alien culture — a dramatic shift away from the lifeways of all species back to the beginning of life on our planet. We have gone so far beyond what has been the normal way of life on Earth since the beginning — the way of life of all animals, subsisting naturally off the land outdoors, embedded in nature and natural cycles, like we used to be — as to make what we are experiencing as a species now quite literally an ‘alien’ way of life. Practiced by a species that is quickly becoming (evolving?) into a creature mere steps away from leaving our home planet.

I illustrate this point to clarify that there are real mysteries regarding our past that are not yet explained, which by definition requirenew, alternative ideas to comprehend because at present, we do not know. We already have questions regarding the Consciousness Revolution (the dramatic “explosion” of human creative, technological, abstract thinking apparently within the last 100 thousand years). This mystery has opened the door for relatively “out there” ideas like the Stoned Ape Hypothesis, that our consciousness changed due to the use of psychoactive compounds like psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, or cannabis. It is precisely because we do not know that such theories exist. [I]

The Neolithic Revolution (our transition from primitive hunter-gatherer ways to sedentary farming and agricultural village lifestyle around 10,000 BCE) is another area where we have much to clarify, as is the precise story of the Origin and Development of Urban Civilization from the earlier Neolithic sites into the great ancient civilizations of Sumer, Egypt, Greece, India, and China. This is prehistory, so we have no records and rely solely on what can be brought to light through archaeology. So we will always have gaps. These are legitimate problems that we are working on, which have not yet been completely answered.

Yet there are some theories that go beyond the mainstream, and, whether you like it or not, there is evidence.

There are some who believe that humanity experienced a contact event in our distant past with an advanced extraterrestrial civilization, and that this contact influenced our trajectory as a species. I introduce this belief here as my thesis — and rendition of this already existing theory — as the Ancient Alien Hypothesis. The main lines of evidence for this historical theory exist in the myths and legends of the great Ancient Religions, scientifically advanced knowledge encoded in ancient myth, anomalous architecture (and information encoded in that architecture) which at minimum strongly suggest a necessary revision of our understanding of the level of cultural development during the Last Ice Age, and from about 10,000 BCE onwards to the dawn of history c.3000 BCE.

Incredibly, an unforeseen line of evidence for the Ancient Alien Hypothesis potentially exists in Modern UFO Disclosure. There are relevant stories told by whistleblowers, if they can be definitely verified, while current contact with ET civilizations increases the likelihood of ancient contact.

This is the influence that Modern UFO Disclosure has on how we perceive our ancient past, and the potentiality of the Ancient Aliens Hypothesis.

A Brief Introduction To Modern UFO Disclosure

Modern UFO Disclosure is the widespread phenomenon of (apparently) high-level whistleblowers coming forwards to provide witness testimony confirming not only the existence of advanced extraterrestrial species in our galaxy, but their visitation to Earth, and interaction with humanity.

Other common themes within the modern UFO Disclosure narrative are that world governments have actually interacted with these species — and continue to do so to this day. There are certain accounts of cooperation on projects, of emissaries being sent to speak with humanity, accounts of conflict with these species, and accounts of the recovery of alien tech from downed craft. One of the most common themes in these narratives is that certain elements of modern science and technology have been founded on reverse engineered alien technology.

To date there are literally thousands of high-level professionals who have entered the public eye as whistleblowers. Of those who have come forward, we have military generals and other military personnel, intelligence agents, pilots, scientists, engineers, politicians, and more all on record telling a generally consistent story.

To give you an idea of the calibre of individuals coming forwards, some of the most convincing testimony (in my opinion) comes from individuals like:

• Paul Helleyer, Former Canadian Minister of Defence — is one of the highest-ranking individuals to have gone on record. In 2005 he publicly came forward speaking to press and congress, stating that world governments have known about the existence of extraterrestrials, have been developing weapons and technology, and even spoke about the Galactic Federation (a collective of extraterrestrial species in the galaxy).
• Haim Eshed, former Israeli Space Security Chief — is both a respected professor and a retired general. Haim Eshed also spoke of the Galactic Federation, as well as a secret base on Mars and an agreement between leaders of the American military(-industrial-intelligence-political-media complex) iterating that the Galactic Federation was waiting for us to reach a level of development where we understand ‘what space and spaceships are.’
• Edgar Mitchell, Astronaut (6th man to walk on the Moon) — confided that top military personnel buried UFO evidence, and also that he had been told in secret by other military operatives that nuclear war between the US and Russia was avoided because these ETs deactivated launched nukes (another common narrative). He has gone on record claiming the existence of numerous ET species and, in his own words, “We are being visited…” and we have been for thousands of years. [1]
• The Pentagon (and other World Governments) — Members of the US military and government recently released videos to the public of purported UFO / UAP craft. While the videos themselves are not entirely conclusive, there are a number of military personnel who have come forwards with more detailed accounts. What is far more important, however, is that the US government is far from the only government shifting towards transparency on this issue… Moreover, this breach of silence by the US military and government on UFOs is historic in its own right.
• Dr. Steven Greer, Retired MD and head of the Disclosure Project — is not exactly a whistleblower himself, but a retired MD who, for the last 30+ years, has essentially gathered whistleblower testimony and collected an enormous body of evidence on UFOs and world government interaction with them. I believe him to be one of the main driving forces behind modern UFO Disclosure.

The above are a minuscule fraction of those who have come forwards, but among some of the most trustworthy and unimpeachable sources (at least from the perspective of their resumes, as they have nothing to gain, and everything to lose).

Whether these whistleblowers can be believed — or rather, who to believe — is on open question. Some claim that certain whistleblowers are intelligence officers for the military who are coming forwards with information with the intent to deceive the public (such as Luis Elizondo). Some claim these alien species are nonviolent, while others paint them as a definitive threat.

It is impossible to know for sure what the true story is precisely, and even less conclusive to know who to trust. Yet it is the sheer number of these whistleblowers that is so concerning — and surprising — not to mention their status and careers, making them hard to ignore. These statements are powerful testimony. Not conclusive, but strong evidence. It is the general consistency of their respective stories between one another that itself is relatively convincing.

The Ancient Alien Hypothesis

The Ancient Alien Hypothesis is the belief that in ancient times humanity was in direct contact with an Advanced Extraterrestrial Race. Interestingly, this story is essentially nothing more or less than a literal interpretation of all ancient religions. From Sumerian Religion to its descendents (Babylonian, Canaanite, and Abrahamic religions) to Vedic, Greek, Norse, and Celtic tales — among many more — they all speak of an advanced race coming to Earth to interact with humanity. Not necessarily arriving from the heavens in every case, but being here on Earth and described in supernatural or divine terms.

This is written off as myth, legend, and allegory by most (except for those who believe in literal angels and demons, and aliens). I cannot blame anyone for this dismissal, because humans have imagination and the skill to write stories, and stories alone are evidence of nothing. They are certainly fascinating, and crucial memories of ancient times from the varying perspectives of unique cultures, but alone only go so far. Even the fact that all of the religions mentioned above appear to be descendents of the same Ancestral Tradition, does not turn myth into evidence.

However, the narrative of these ancient stories are relatively consistent, and details can be gleaned from them which can tell us where to look for evidence. There are certain archaeological anomalies that are curious, which could validate ancient traditions. Moreover, we have scientific confirmation that validates certain aspects of these myths, turning them into legendary, and even historical, accounts. In concert with this there is potentially knowledge encoded in ancient myth that is far beyond what ancient humans of late prehistory could have possibly known (which was certainly beyond their understanding as it is).

The themes that I stress specifically as part of my theories on Projeda, include the Transmission of Knowledge, An Ancient Tribe of Gods, Genetic Manipulation, Anomalous Architecture and Archaeological Artifacts, in addition to certain Space Anomalies. These are the main lines of evidence that we can reduce the Ancient Alien Hypothesis down to which appear to be the most valid sources of evidence we have for the existence of Ancient Aliens.

Transmission of Knowledge In Myths and Legends of Ancient Religion, and an Ancient Tribe of Gods — The interpretation of Ancient Aliens is a literal interpretation of the myths from ancient religions around the world. Almost unanimously, ancient peoples speak of beings that came down from the sky, who are usually creators of humanity, and in some cases teachers of many of the arts of advanced civilization (like writing, metallurgy, music, mathematics, architecture, agriculture and many more).

In ancient religion these beings form a Tribe of Gods — literally in the case of Biblical, Sumerian, Celtic, Vedic and Norse traditions — which forms one of the main lines of evidence. They are referenced in all of the great religions of the Ancient World. This tribe of gods is said to have interacted with humanity, were involved in the creation and instruction of humanity, and were explicitly said to have lived alongside humanity.

In Sumerian Religion they were called the Anuna, which shifted to the Akkadian word Anunnaki during the phase of Babylonian Empire (descendants of the Sumerians and Akkadians religiously and ethnically, certainly with some genetic admixture from “foreign” populations). The Anuna and Igigi appear to correlate to the Asuras/Daevas of Vedic religion, the Ahuras/Daevas of Zoroastrian religion, the Aesir/Vanir of Norse religion, and the Anuna / Tuath De / Tuatha de Dannan of Celtic religion. In Hebrew, Christian, and Islamic faith the memory of the Tribe of Gods became the Angels, more accurately the Elohim, of the Bible. Literally the Sons of God, maintaining this tribal element.

This fundamental theme is present in Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian, Canaanite, Phoenician, Hebrew, Christian, Islamic, Vedic Hindu, Hindu, Norse, Celtic, Egyptian, Greek and Roman religions west of the Himalayas. Yet we also find it in religions around the world, confusingly, with a degree of resonance in traditions that seem impossible to be connected at all, such as in Hawaiian beliefs, Chinese, Mayan, and certain Native American traditions. This is a common theme in the worlds most ancient religions.

More often than not these beings are regarded as teachers of humanity. Gifting knowledge of writing, agriculture, building, mathematics in some cases, technology. They are often regarded as creators, and generally, are either stated outright — or strongly implied — as being from the heavens. The Native Americans, for example, are very clear that their ancestors are “star people”.

Anomalous Architecture & Unnatural Development — There are very, very few examples of architecture in the ancient world that are suspicious. In my opinion. Nearly everything that most people point towards can (and probably was) fashioned by ancient humans. They see incredible structures and artifacts, and overlook the existence of incredible skill by a driven people who do nothing else but the craft they specialize in. (People are, and always have, been in possession of skill that seems godly, like magic.)

There are, however, a couple of anomalous structures.

The Great Pyramid of Egypt is one. Architecturally, from an engineering perspective, the construction of the Great Pyramid remains a mystery. Egyptology also has yet to conclusively prove how, when, and by whom it was built (no matter what they say to the contrary). Modern engineers marvel at this structure. But what is more curious, is the amount of information that is encoded in its structure and dimensions mathematically, such as the number pi.

In addition to the great pyramid we have true marvels of the ancient world which are astounding. There are giant blocks in Egypt and Lebanon that we cannot move today, even with advanced modern cranes. They built on a scale so large, at such a level of sophistication in a handful of cases, so early in our history that it is … strange. This is what I mean by “unnatural development”. When you study Ancient History and Prehistory in depth, those two areas specifically, what struck me very powerfully was the level of sophistication at the beginning of history. Not technological, architectural, or artistic sophistication per se — although they had that in spades — but sophistication in the elegance of their structures.

Palaces in ancient Egypt, Sumer, and Crete would have been luxurious by modern standards of the ultra rich. Literally at the dawn of history between 3000-2000 BCE, royalty was living in exquisite palatial structures, dressed in the finest clothes, surrounded by gold, precious objects, and extraordinarily-crafted luxury pieces. What always struck me was how advanced this was. It is like they moved from reed huts to palaces — which they did, essentially — which is strange, but made more so by the fact that they transitioned from building with reeds, to stones that 100,000 men in some cases might not have been able to lift, and structures that reached hundreds of feet into the sky. The Great Pyramid is roughly the height of a 50 story building. A skyscraper. Really? The conceptual leap from reed huts to structures that could have easily taken 100 years to build minimum (like the Giza Pyramids) given an average lifespan of around 30 years at that time, is hard to imagine.

There are real conceptual issues here, that many scholars do not seem to comprehend.

Even more curious, is that in the thousands of years between about 9000-3000 BCE, the final millennia of prehistory, they were living in brick houses. Ancient peoples in the highest civilized places of the ancient and prehistoric world, went from hunting and gathering like the Amerindians, to homesteads and villages with structurally modern homes in the blink of an eye, apparently.

Alien Contact is not my explanation for this, just so you know. In this case I am orientated towards a significant missing phase in our prehistoric development to explain this, a phase occluded by the destruction of the Great Flooding at the End of the Last Ice Age. A lost phase of advanced civilization explains many of these anomalies. The Great Pyramid specifically, on the other hand… Well, that is a different story.

Knowledge Encoded In Ancient Mythology — This is my favourite evidence, because aside from the general story told in ancient religion (which is amazingly consistent cross-culture, curious and reasonable in and of itself) this is the hardest to explain away. Ancient Religion remembered the Last Ice Age and the Great Flood that marked the centuries of its meltdown. This is knowledge preserved in oral tradition from the end of the Younger Dryas (c.9,700 BCE) at minimum until after history begins in Sumer c.3000 BCE.

In addition to this, creation myths of the Egyptians, Sumerians, Chinese, and others tell a creation narrative that from a modern scientific perspective (astronomy, physics, and astrophysics) tells a story that almost precisely tells of the birth of a star and system of planets around that star. Perhaps it is coincidence. However, if it is, it is an amazing one… The thought that keeps coming back to me is that the principles involved in the story are foreign to human experience on Earth, which itself is curious.

With all of that being said, none of this evidence is truly conclusive. That is the major issue with the Ancient Alien Hypothesis — there is no definite proof. Unless we uncover an alien craft or a legitimate piece of alien tech from some ancient ruins, we have no proof… unless future archaeological discoveries provide us with this evidence (on Earth, the Moon, or Mars) or if Modern UFO Disclosure can confirm this narrative for us.

Influence of UFO Disclosure on the Ancient Alien Hypothesis

For a long time UFOs and the Ancient Alien Hypothesis were regarded as fringe subjects at best — and the believers to be uninformed and unhinged. To be fair, many are … but that goes for people in general. The world of aliens, government conspiracies, and hidden histories is filled with unreasonable, unfounded, nonsense, and attracts many more ‘alternative’ types of people.

In the defence of those who identified as purely rational, logical, science-based thinkers who dismiss some of these ideas (many of whom are ignorant of science and history themselves, ironically, since it means that while they preach evidence, never acquired it for themselves) but in their defence nonetheless, there is a lot of unhinged, out-there, crazy theories in these alternative and more conspiracy-oriented circles. They are a haven for all ideas that don’t fit the norm, a melting pot infused with anything and everything.

But sometimes, certain fringe ideas turn out to be correct.

It is a simple fact that most people have not looked extensively into the evidence, at least not as deeply as I — and people like me — have. Those educated on history often have a negative perception of Ancient Aliens because of their exposure to the most unfounded aspects of the hypothesis. When in reality, the arguments for the Ancient Alien Hypothesis are actually very nuanced, specifically those aligned with the scientific method and with the evidence. The evidence that I present in this rendition of the theory in no way defies any scientific evidence of the mainstream, and actually addresses — in some cases, potentially explaining — the gaps and unknowns in our knowledge. Indeed, this hypothesis exists because of the unexplained evidence.

On that note, there are many mainstream theories that themselves are unfounded conclusions. For example, the narrative surrounding the timeline of the Neolithic Revolution. In brief detail, humans where hunter-gatherers until around 12,000 years ago when we learned to farm and domesticate animals in the Fertile Crescent, and then developed towards urban civilization in the subsequent millennia before the emergence of Sumer and Egypt. In general, that is exactly what the evidence says, and probably exactly what happened, more or less. At least that is what I believe in general outline. However, many alternative theorists have suggested a more advanced Ice Age civilization. Some have said aliens, others have argued more cautiously for “advanced” as meaning a level similar to Bronze Age development.

Persistently mainstream academia has stated unequivocally that there is “no evidence” of such a civilization. Which was not true, even then. And recent finds like Gobekli Tepe, Catalhoyuk, Asili Hoyuk, Trypillia, Jericho, and other urban sites around that time which show a high level of development, contradict their opinion thoroughly, and call the accepted narrative into question. Even more so when we consider that the Persian Gulf, for example, was devoid of water during the last ice age and would have been a perfect home for a civilization in the cooler climate of the Ice Age. When it flooded in the Great Floods, maybe they moved north and founded those northern sites on dry land closer to the mountains.

You see, this perspective is perfectly valid considering the evidence, and also helps us to explain why the above sites were so advanced for the time. With no known evidence of precursor civilizations, and, more importantly, gives us somewhere to look for further evidence. Curiously, this dovetails with what ancient mythology said too. And while the dating of the initiation of farming and settled life is being pushed back, all the while this evidence indicates that these sites exemplify cultural continuation rather than the instance of invention or revolution. While in the same breath sites like Gobekli Tepe are labelled as a “temple complex” when we simply cannot know this. We don’t know if they lived there seasonally or permanently, we don’t know if these were communal buildings, personal homes, or sites of worship — we don’t know. We don’t even know what their so-called “religious artifacts” meant to the ancients, what the nature of their conception of religion was, if they had any at all. We don’t know.

In regards to the Ancient Alien Hypothesis I am perfectly willing to accept that “gods” and an “ancient advanced civilization” of a “golden age” equipped with “magic” and “advanced technologies” — which are direct statements of all Ancient Religions not modern interjections at all — are simply a reference to an advanced culture that developed farming, animal husbandry, art, jewellery and trade and towns and spread that to the world, only to be glorified in a form of ancestor worship when remembered in myth and legend as gods.

That makes sense to me. It fits the evidence. It doesn’t explain everything — such as anomalous architecture and artifacts, advanced knowledge in myth, or tales of flight and gods, and the creation of humanity if there is any truth to them — but it explains a great deal. Yet there are still pieces of evidence, and genuine mysteries of human origins, that remain unexplained, by anybody. The issue is that most people do not have enough knowledge of ancient history, prehistory, mythology, or any of these interrelated subjects to understand the nuance to the argument, and the range of evidence which, while not conclusive, is so extensive as to lean definitely in the direction of a shift in conventional theories of some kind. Not necessarily to aliens, but to an unknown period where significant events, and perhaps cultures, occurred.

There is so much dogma in our understanding of history, human origins, prehistory, and even in science itself — both a kind of scientific dogma and religious dogma — which influences what is taught to the public. For example, religious dogma prevents a shift in recognizing that the Great Flood Tradition found in its earliest form in Sumerian, Greek, Norse, Vedic, Babylonian, Zoroastrian and Celtic religions which both predates the Bible, and are related to the Ancestral Tradition which the Bible itself descends from, is referencing a true Global Flood — the End of the Last Ice Age specifically. Scientific and Religious dogma are preventing that recognition, even though basic reasoning skills and all of the available evidence (like considering the fact that nearly every culture around the world has this myth and the last time we were all together in the same place was in Africa maybe 70,000 years ago) indicates that it had to have been a legitimately global event, of which the ~130 m sea-level rise during the thousands of years of glacial meltdown is the only realistic possibility for this event.

These are facts.

As important now is the extensive body of evidence found in Modern UFO Disclosure. This adds a degree of credibility to the Ancient Alien Hypothesis. While it is foolish to use two unproven theories to support one another, since if they are both wrong, there is just air, and the whole thing was a fantasy. However, there is extensive and convincing evidence for both.

If I might add, I possess an exceedingly logical, evidence-based, scientific-method-orientated and extensively scientifically equipped mind. I am also more skeptical than almost every skeptic. Period. Before I believe even claims of science, I need to understand the science, and read their paper to verify it. Even going so far as to consider the biases of the author, holes in methodology, and the investors for the research (since tobacco and oil companies, for example, have paid scientists to produce fake data on, say, the health of tobacco or to refute the reality of climate change). I need evidence, otherwise I will not believe it.

I don’t believe a single whistleblower of UFO Disclosure. Not even Dr. Greer. I have met too many liars, and don’t trust “witness testimony” without incontrovertible evidence, especially when they worked as intelligence and military personnel. This is also why we certainly cannot trust ancient mythology as an indisputable source. But we cannot dismiss it either. The weight of evidence forces us rationally to lean in certain directions. We have to follow the evidence where it leads without bias. The sheer number of times a similar story is repeated in both UFO Disclosure and in Ancient Religion — both around the entire globe — tells us at the very least that there is something there. An ancient or modern story of some kind.

With literally thousands of whistleblowers from the highest levels of their profession — astronauts, generals, presidents and politicians, military personnel, pilots, engineers, scientists — all exceptionally accomplished, the highest calibre of source we could ask for, telling essentially the same story? That says something. That means something, and is a strong indication that there is a story here. In addition, we have video and photographic evidence from the last century that is hard to explain, and stories over the course of the last few thousand years that reiterate the same situation.

In light of this new evidence coming out, we are essentially forced to again look at the Ancient Alien Hypothesis with fresh eyes. If these extensive accounts of Modern UFO contact are valid — world governments themselves are taking them seriously — then these vastly increase the probability that contact happened in World Prehistory. A form of direct contact that is remembered specifically in the Ancient Religions of the World and retained for more than 12,000 years, against all odds, in myth, legend, story, and parable.

Is it possible that humanity was contacted in ancient times? Is there evidence of advanced civilizations during the Last Ice Age? Is there evidence of genetic manipulation within the human genome? Is there evidence of civilizations beyond Earth, but within our own solar system? Is there evidence of advanced knowledge in ancient myth that is beyond the capacity of ancient humans? Moreover, does the massive weight of Modern UFO Disclosure evidence change our evaluation of the possibility of ancient contact?

Yes. There are many indications for all of these beliefs, and there is a lot of evidence in favour of both the Ancient Alien Hypothesis and Modern UFO Disclosure. While we lack, at present, a definitive smoking gun, there is a massive weight of solid evidence that points us in a direction. What is even more interesting, and more important, is that these lines of evidence point us in the direction where definitive evidence can potentially be found, ifwe investigate further.

Personally, while I believe that such substances could have certainly influenced a creative evolution of art, culture, and technology among our ancestors (since we have seen this historically many times as it is) I don’t personally adhere to the idea that drugs played that significant a role, or were required, in order for us to become intelligent, creative, and abstract thinkers as a species. Nonetheless, they definitely add a uniquely expressive colour and flare to the creativity of individuals from any era.
