Neolithic Humanity
In the early years of our species, after the flooding of the End of the Last Glacial Age, humanity was divided into a number of distinct regions. Our numbers had not yet grow to those that we see today — not by a long-shot.
The Distinct Uralic Languages
The distinct Uralic languages — including Finnish, Estonian, and — were long thought to have originated in the Ural Mountains. This mountain range is located right in the middle of northern Eurasia, a natural border between East and West, often used as the division between Europe and Asia.
The study finds that the ancestors of all modern Uralic speakers living in a region now known as Yakutia, around 2500 BCE — 4500 years ago. [1]
