Tracing The Diaspora of an Ancient People

The similarities in religious tradition among a wide range of ancient people indicates shared tradition, shared cultural heritage, and potentially shared ancestry — and it is not always easy to tell which. (With the exception that genetic evidence can now very clearly tell us of a shared ancestry.)

Interestingly, people of the ancient Near East are the ancestors of the majority of modern Europeans, in large part. More than just European, but many Central Asian, Indian (Vedic), Iranian, and Anatolian bloodlines as well. (This is the Indo-European connection.)

There were already people living in Europe when the ancestors of the first Europeans arrived. They looked very much like Native American, Siberia, and other Asian populations. The Sami people of Finland, and the dark-skinned Ancient South Indians of India (Tamil Ancestors).

These were the people who lived before the first farmers, herders, and pastoralists radiated outwards from the fertile crescent. When they did, there is evidence that they dominated (and killed) their way across the continent. At least in some cases.
